Submittal Requirements
The following plans and information will be required to complete the process digitally by email. (A technician will reach out to you within one week):
- Water Improvement Plans
- Water Flow Calculations
- Fire Flow Requirements / Plans from Fire District
- Tract or Parcel Map
- Title Report (not more than six months old)
- Sewer Improvement Plans
- Sewer Flow Calculations
- Grading Plans
- Street Improvement Plans
- Storm Drain Plans

Temporary Construction Water Meters
Application Process
- To apply for a construction meter, please complete the Construction Meter Application and email it to Document Submittal Email.
- A Customer Service Representative will contact you to collect the deposit. Acceptable forms of phone payment are Visa, MasterCard, and Discover.
- Your meter will be installed within two business days after the deposit is collected.
Temporary construction meters are available in the form of a hydrant meter. All construction meters are stationary and are set at the hydrant by Cucamonga Valley Water District staff.

Meter Installation
The meter will be locked down to the fire hydrant by the District. The temporary potable water rate is $3.87 per hundred cubic feet (748 gallons) effective 1/1/2023 and will be increased to $3.98 effective 1/1/2024. The temporary potable water service is also subject to the MWD Surcharge Rate which is $0.19 per hundred cubic feet effective 1/1/2023 and will increase to $0.29 per hundred cubic feet effective 1/1/2024. The temporary recycled water rate is $2.00 per hundred cubic feet effective 10/1/2023 and will decrease to $1.92 per hundred cubic feet effective 7/1/2024. Meter Pickup
After the completion of your project, don’t forget to call our Customer Service Department at 855-654-CVWD (2893) to have the temporary water meter picked up. Once the meter is picked up and all fees due have been remitted to the District, we will process the return of the security deposit less any repair costs.
