CVWD Receives Third Place at CAPIO STAR Awards for 70th Anniversary Video

Rancho Cucamonga, CA — On October 2, 2025, the Cucamonga Valley Water District (CVWD) was honored with a Third Place Award in the Promotion of a City/County/Public Agency (1 Full-Time Staff) category at the 2025 California Association of Public Information Officials (CAPIO) STAR Awards. The recognition celebrates CVWD’s 70th Anniversary video, produced in-house by the District’s Public Affairs team. The award was presented aboard the historic Queen Mary in Long Beach during CAPIO’s STAR Awards Celebration.

The CAPIO STAR Awards recognize excellence in government video programming across more than 40 categories, including Community Event Coverage, Public Safety, Parks & Recreation, and more. CVWD’s award-winning video highlighted the District’s seven decades of service, showcasing its history, milestones, and commitment to providing safe, reliable water to the community.

“Receiving this award is a wonderful recognition of our team’s creativity and dedication,” commented Board President Randall Reed. “The 70th Anniversary video allowed us to celebrate CVWD’s legacy while connecting with our customers and partners in a meaningful way.”

CVWD’s Public Affairs team continues to develop innovative outreach tools and multimedia projects to inform and engage the community about water services, conservation, and sustainability.
