Rancho Cucamonga, CA – The Cucamonga Valley Water District (CVWD/District) has proudly served the community with high-quality, safe, and reliable water and wastewater services since 1955. This season of giving, CVWD is hosting its first ever Succulents for Soups give back event, an event encouraging employees and customers to donate canned goods to help families and members of our own community who are in need.
CVWD’s Succulents for Soups event is currently taking place through December 8, 2022, in the District’s customer service lobby, located at 10440 Ashford Street in Rancho Cucamonga. Customers are encouraged to stop by our office during regular business hours to donate canned goods. In return, customers will receive a water-wise succulent kit which includes a succulent with a biodegradable coconut pot for planting, plus a succulent guide with water use efficiency tips, benefits of water-wise plants, and how to care for your succulent. All collected canned food items will be donated to a local food bank in CVWD’s service area to help those in need during the holidays.
Succulents for Soups give back event is a way of giving back to our community and promoting water use efficiency tips and resources to customers. CVWD takes great pride in providing service beyond expectation through give back events and partnerships. In addition to Succulents for Soups event, CVWD has extended its reach to help those in need by participating in the City of Rancho Cucamonga’s Jane Penny Link Program, which provides local seniors with toiletries, activity books, and holiday supplies.
