In an effort to continue meeting the needs of our customers, CVWD will be transitioning to monthly billing, with an anticipated start time of July 2019. Changing to monthly billing will enable customers to more easily budget their customer billing statements and it will enable the District to connect with customers in a timelier manner, especially when it relates to excessive water use or a potential leak at a property. Customer communications will improve since the District will be able to get information into customers’ hand more frequently through the use of billing inserts and the customer newsletter. Instead of receiving six customer billing statements per year, you will receive 12, and the base charges currently on the two-month billing statement will be cut in half. For example, the current charge for a ¾” meter on your bi-monthly billing statement is $50, but once monthly billing is in place, it would be $25 each month (under the current rate structure).
