Message from HR

Welcome to the start of another Open Enrollment Season! It is our pleasure to provide you with this website as a resource to manage your benefits at the District.

We encourage you to take some time to learn about your options. Everything you need to update, re-enroll, or change can be found at www.cvwdwater.com/OpenEnrollment. This is the one time of year you can make changes to your benefits, unless you experience a documented mid-year qualifying event, such as marriage, birth, gain or loss of other group health coverage.

Here are a few benefit highlights and important reminders:

  • HealthEquity/WageWorks remains the District's Flexible Spending Account (FSA) provider. Remember that Enrollment DOES NOT automatically carry over to 2024If you want to enroll or re-enroll, you must complete a new WageWorks enrollment form.
  • All Anthem participants will receive a new Member ID Card in December for the 2024 plan year.
  • Anthem PPO & Anthem CDHP plans are leaving MedImpact and returning to Anthems internal Pharmacy Benefit Manager (PBM), known as Carelon Rx.
  • Anthem Health Guide will replace Anthem’s traditional member services for Anthem PPO and Anthem CDHP participants. Anthem Health Guides are trained in our medical plans and benefits and will be able to refer you to various point solutions such as Carrum, Hinge, Modern Health, Progyny along with other Anthem programs that might be helpful to you.
  • CDHP Plans: Due to IRS requirements, the deductible on the Anthem CDHP will increase to $1,600 for single coverage and $3,200 for family coverage. All other Anthem CDHP benefits remain the same. Kaiser CDHP deductible will increase to $1,600 for single coverage and $3,200 for family coverage. Kaiser will also increase the out-of-pocket maximum to $3,200 for single coverage. The family out-of-pocket maximum remains the same at $5,600. All other Kaiser CDHP benefits remain the same.

All forms must be emailed to HR by 5:00 p.m. on October 25.

 2024 Benefits Checklist

Open Enrollment is a great time to review your existing benefit sections, evaluate any anticipated needs, learn more about the District benefit offerings, and make any adjustments for the upcoming plan year. To assist you in that, we've provided a handy checklist below.

STEP 1: Review Your Coverage

  • Your Individual Benefits Coverage Outline was emailed to you on Tuesday, October 10. If you didn't receive it, contact  Rosa.
  • View updated rates on the 2024 Insurance Premium Rate Sheet

STEP 2: Get Informed

STEP 3: Make Changes

  • Print forms to make changes (add/remove benefits, add/remove dependents, etc.)
    • Forms must be printed, signed, and returned to HR no later than 5:00 p.m. on Monday, October 24

No Changes?

If you do not need to make any enrollment changes, your current benefit election will remain the same, but at the 2024 rates (as shown on your Individual Insurance Benefits Outline). Also, if you wish to participate in a Flexible Spending Account, you must complete the WageWorks Enrollment Form.
