Operation
Our treatment plant operators collect and analyze samples of the water continuously 24 hours a day, seven days a week to ensure CVWD continues to provide the highest quality water possible at all times.
All groundwater is sampled weekly for bacteriological analysis.
Our water quality meets all federal and state requirements for safe drinking water.
Facilities
CVWD has three water treatment facilities located within the district's boundaries. We also treat water from the local gravity flows from local canyon sources at our treatment plants.
The last treatment facility the district operates treats water coming from our local canyons. This facility became operational in October 1997 and was constructed as a response to State of California regulations regarding the treatment of surface water. The district would not be allowed to use canyon water without the installation of this treatment facility. The plant was one of seven recipients of the 1998 Engineering Excellence Award from the Consulting Engineers and Land Surveyors of California (CELSOC).
