CVWD has been proudly providing water and wastewater services to this thriving community for 65 years. Currently, we are nearing completion of a groundwater treatment facility at the northwest corner of 19th and Sapphire Streets. This important project will enhance water quality, increase local water production, and improve water supply reliability.
One of the final steps of the project is the landscaping, and in effort to be a good neighbor, we are sharing a rendering of what the site is expected to look like at maturity. Please note, the initial landscaping will consist of younger trees and bushes and will take some time to fill in. We are currently in a bid process to solicit services for the landscaping installation and you will begin to see this work in the next couple of months. Our goal with the landscaping is to balance aesthetics with site security.
We’d also like to let you know that the project’s permitting process through the state requires testing and the discharge of water. We are not yet permitted to put the water into our distribution system, but the water is not being wasted. If you see water being discharged from the plant and into the storm drain please be assured that the water is being recharged into a groundwater basin downstream and is not being wasted.
We thank you for your patience during the construction process. If you have questions or concerns, please feel free to email firstname.lastname@example.org or call the project hotline, 909-493-5548.
