Emergency Planning a CVWD Priority

The District is preparing a FEMA-mandated Hazard Mitigation Plan (HMP) which will be available for input by the public in the near future. The Hazard Mitigation Plan provides guidance on mitigating against hazards which for us include earthquakes, wildfire, flooding, drought, climate change and terrorism. Disasters can result in loss of life, property and infrastructure. In order to prevent or lessen the loss caused by disasters, the Hazard Mitigation Plan helps communities by assessing vulnerabilities and identifying actions to reduce those risks. Stay tuned for more information about the District’s planning process. For more information about CVWD’s Hazard Mitigation Plan and the planning process, please contact
